International Compliance Management

Compliant or not?
Are you a manufacturer or an importer? Do you have to deal with returns of Waste Electrical and Electronics Equipment (WEEE), batteries and packaging?

Then you know about the complexity of EU regulations and their implementation: within the 27 EU member states there are 81 laws you need to take into account as an enterprise operating across Europe in order to conform to the extended producer responsibility. This does not include the innumerable executive orders, new regulations or various official interpretations.

Focus on the Core Business
The CCR Logistics Systems AG (CCR) can support you with the fulfillment of your duties in EU and EFTA countries in relation to Waste Electrical and Electronics Equipment (WEEE), batteries and packaging. The CCR team can help you with all the issues concerning International Compliance Management. As a result, you can concentrate on your core business.

International compliance management guarantees compliance with all relevant recycling provisions with manufacturer responsibility – throughout Europe and in a cost-effective manner.

To comply with expanded manufacturer responsibility and socio-political corporate responsibility, CCR has set up international compliance management (ICM). For companies that operate in several European countries, CCR offers guaranteed fulfilment of the legal requirements with regard to recycling and the disposal of end-of-life electrical and electronic appliances, batteries and packaging form a single source. Our services include central purchasing from the respective national system operators, their controlling and monitoring as well as central reporting. This service is ideal for all internationally operating companies with centralised compliance or environmental management. The benefits are obvious: central purchasing, transparency throughout Europe, legal security and streamlined administrative processes.

With its quality and environmental management, CCR thus ensures the environmentally sound take-back and handling of end-of-life products. CCR is forging a "green path" together with its customers. Stops along this path include, for example, consideration of the CO2 emissions chain, the refurbishment and reuse of products, ensuring the highest possible recycling rate and fulfilling all environmental obligations for multiple countries.

Copyright

What do hard drives, mp3 players and USB sticks have in common? They are devices with data storage. With them, people can use or copy copyright protected goods. Therefore, manufacturers have to pay copyright fees for them – for example to the GEMA in Germany, Copie France in France or Società Italiana degli Autori ed Editori in Italy.
Place your trust in the CCR for this task. From 2014 onwards, we are managing the copyright fee for our customers – completely, reliably and worldwide. We know the diverse criteria and how the fee is defined everywhere, according to legislation. We determine the rate of the fee based on the transaction numbers per country and product – similar to the registration of used equipment and packaging.
And here we've come full circle. Our full service portfolio guarantees you comprehensive compliance – regarding the take-back of old devices, used batteries and packaging as well as the copyright fee handling.
The copyright fee has to be paid for these selected devices:

  • PCs
  • CD and DVD writers
  • Mobile phones
  • Video and DVD recorders
